Craig Ackerson has over 15 years of professional experience in the IT field. Craig began their career in 1996 as a Senior Regional Hardware Engineer for Mid-Atlantic Medical Services, Inc., where they were responsible for setting up and maintaining voice and data network and terminal connectivity for all regional offices outside the Washington, D.C. area. In 1998, they took on the role of Senior IT Consultant for Design Data Systems, where they managed a team of engineers that provided primary IT support to 25 separate clients at multiple sites. Craig then moved to Resolvit Resources in 2004, where they served as a Network Engineer. During the same year, they also worked at ROI2 as a Network/Sales Engineer, where they designed and managed the network and datacenter hosting business intelligence applications for Fortune 500 clients. In 2004, they became a Network Engineer at ProLink Services, where they took the IT support environment for a small startup in pharmaceutical marketing services business from initial prototype to ASP datacenter, hosting proprietary business intelligence applications to Fortune 500 clients in the drug marketing industry. Craig then moved to Resolvit in 2010, where they served as a System Administrator. Finally, in 2015, they joined Lifematters as an IT Manager.

Craig Ackerson attended the University of Maryland, Department of Computer Science from 1990 to 1995.
