John Ryu

John Ryu has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. John is currently serving as the CFO at Simplify since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Founder & General Partner at Hypothesis starting from 2020. In 2016, they co-founded Assurely, a company that provides insurance protection to rapidly-growing businesses. John also worked at Lo & Sons as a Technology & Strategic Advisory and at KohFounders as a Venture Partner. John Ryu has extensive experience in the venture capital industry, having served as a Board Partner, Partner, and Founding Team member at Scout Ventures from 2012 to 2018. John was a Founding Advisor at Greensbury Market from 2014 to 2016. John Ryu also gained experience in product management at WebMD from 2009 to 2012. John started their career as a Founding Associate at The Center for Innovative Financial Technology, UC Berkeley in 2008, and also worked as a Venture Associate at Prism Venture Partners in the same year.

John Ryu has attended Yale University, but it is unknown when or if they obtained a degree from there. Additionally, they have also attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, but again, it is unknown when or if they completed a degree program at that institution as well.
