Hana Lee

Hana Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. Hana started their career as a Junior Accountant at the Municipality of Anchorage - Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility in 2007. Hana was responsible for reconciling reports and assisting in resolving discrepancies. Hana also prepared year-end financial reports and various financial documents.

In 2010, Hana became a Reconciliation Accountant at the Municipality of Anchorage. Hana reconciled major balance sheet accounts and analyzed monthly transactions for adherence to accounting principles. Hana then moved on to become a Plant Accountant, where they reconciled daily and monthly reports, analyzed capital project control documents, and ensured compliance with accounting standards.

Hana joined BDO USA, LLP in 2016 as an Audit Associate. Hana conducted auditing procedures in accordance with regulations and provided recommendations based on their analysis of financial data. Hana continued their auditing career at Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co., LLP in 2018 as a Senior Auditor. Hana planned and prepared risk assessments, performed walk-throughs, and applied auditing techniques to test financial statement accounts.

Hana's most recent experience is with loanDepot, where they held multiple roles. Hana started as a Staff Accountant in 2019 before being promoted to Senior Staff Accountant. In this role, they processed fair value related to mortgage security rights, reviewed loan accounting transactions, and implemented process improvements. Hana is currently working as an Accounting Team Lead, where they oversee the accounting team's operations.

Throughout their career, Hana has demonstrated their expertise in accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial analysis. Their experience spans various industries, including government and finance.

Hana Lee obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting in 2006 from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Robert Service High School from 1996 to 2000. Hana Lee also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, awarded by the State of California.
