Yao Song, CFA, FRM has extensive work experience in the field of financial risks and risk management. Yao started their career at RBC Bank in 2011, where they worked as a Quantitative Risk Analyst in the Treasury department. In 2012, they moved on to become a Product/Pricing Analyst in the Enterprise Risk Management division.
In 2012, Yao joined the Local Government Federal Credit Union as a Senior IRR/Modeling Analyst. Yao held this position until 2014 when they were promoted to Financial Risk Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing the financial risks of the organization. In early 2016, Yao further advanced in their career and became the Vice President of Financial Risks at the Local Government Federal Credit Union.

Yao Song, CFA, FRM holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, they have a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from Northwestern University. Yao also received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In terms of certifications, Yao has obtained the CFA certification from the CFA Institute and the FRM certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
