Julia Duranti-Martínez

Julia Duranti-Martínez is a Senior Program Officer for Community Research and Impact at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, where responsibilities include advancing community ownership research, developing fundraising materials, and organizing educational webinars on housing justice and economic recovery. As an Adjunct Instructor at The City College of New York, Julia developed courses on housing finance and policy, engaging diverse stakeholders. Julia's previous leadership as Board President of the East Harlem El Barrio Community Land Trust involved securing significant funding and supporting community housing initiatives. Prior experience includes coordinating efforts for the New Economy Project and advocating for human rights with Witness for Peace. Julia holds dual master's degrees in Community and Regional Planning and Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
