Yuriy C.

Yuriy C. has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and geospatial analysis. Yuriy recently worked at Local Logic as a Data Engineer starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Toronto from August 2021 to November 2022 in the same role. Before joining the university, Yuriy worked at BlueDot Inc. as a Data Engineer from October 2018 to August 2021. Yuriy also served as a Geospatial Web Developer at Sparkgeo from November 2016 to September 2018. Yuriy has experience in catastrophe analysis as well, having worked as a Catastrophe Analyst at Guy Carpenter from September 2015 to June 2016. Additionally, they have worked as a self-employed Open Source GIS Consultant in 2015, providing consulting services to various clients. Prior to that, Yuriy worked at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as an Open Source GIS Consultant for a short period, where they configured and built a Hadoop cluster. Their earliest work experience was as a GIS Analyst Intern at Development Seed in 2014, where they used open source tools for geospatial analysis.

Yuriy C.'s education history starts in 2008 when they enrolled at the University of Toronto. Yuriy pursued an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies/Affairs and studied at the institution until 2013. Following that, in 2013, Yuriy attended Fleming College to earn an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in GIS - Applications Specialist, which they completed in 2014.
