Faisal Alam

Faisal Alam serves as the Director of Finance and Operations at Local Progress and Local Progress Impact Lab since February 2024, following a notable tenure as Deputy Director at Resource Generation from January 2016 to January 2024. In these roles, Faisal has demonstrated exceptional leadership in finance management, human resources, and operational efficiency, while advocating for staff benefits and enhancing organizational capacity. Prior to these positions, Faisal built a varied background in consulting, public speaking on issues concerning LGBT Muslims, and event coordination, working with various organizations including Faisal Alam LLC, AMHPS, and the National Minority AIDS Council. A well-regarded speaker, Faisal has addressed over 175 colleges and universities, focusing on important social issues. Education was completed at Georgia State University Perimeter College from 2008 to 2011.
