Nima Vakili

Senior Technical Designer at Local Projects

Nima Vakili has a diverse work experience in the fields of design and research. Nima started their career as a Creative Engineering Intern at Local Projects in 2013. Later, they joined the University at Buffalo where they served as a Teaching Assistant from January 2012 to December 2013. During their time at the university, Nima also worked as a Research Assistant from January 2013 to August 2014 and as the Sensing Lab's Manager from September 2014 to December 2014. In January 2015, Nima returned to Local Projects as a Senior Physical Designer and held this role until March 2020. Nima then transitioned to the role of Senior Technical Designer in April 2020 and continues to work in this position.

Nima Vakili pursued their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in the field of Architecture from the University of Tehran, from 2005 to 2011. Later, they went on to earn their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Media Architecture from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in 2014. Nima further expanded their education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Media Arts and Architecture (MArch/MFA) from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where they studied from 2012 to 2015.
