Julia Peter

Julia Peter has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Julia is the Founder and CEO of LocalAway since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer at Facebook from March 2017 to June 2019. Julia also served as a UX Designer at Google from February 2015 to February 2017. Julia was an Interaction Designer at Sony Corporation of America from May 2011 to September 2014. Before that, they were an Interactive Web Project Manager at Sony Design Center from February 2010 to May 2011. Julia began their career as a Design Intern at Malenke | Barnhart in 2009 and later worked as a Design Intern at Barnhart Communications in 2007.

Julia Peter has a diverse education history. In 2002, they began their studies at Arizona State University, focusing on Law & Information Technology within the field of Political Science. Julia completed their BA degree in Political Science in 2004. Following this, they attended Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design from 2007 to 2009, earning a BFA degree in Design and Interactive Media. Most recently, in 2019, Julia completed a Certificate of IEP Completion Program at Stanford University.
