Lukas Peter, PhD

Lukas Peter, Ph.D. is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Their most recent role was as COO and Co-Founder at LocalAway, where they successfully managed operations, sales, marketing, and strategy, leading to improved profitability. Lukas also raised $1M in pre-seed funding and secured acceptance into the Techstars Accelerator program, forming valuable partnerships with high-profile companies. Prior to this, Lukas served as a Member of the Board for the San Francisco Chapter of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, advocating for Swiss, American, and multinational business interests.

Before that, Lukas held multiple roles at Swisscom, including Head of Outpost Services & CEO of Swisscom Cloud Lab Ltd., where they expanded the company's presence by initiating offices in Berlin and Shanghai. Lukas also spearheaded innovation as Head of the Innovation Hub, launching numerous businesses annually in Fintech, Blockchain, and Robotics, boosting market share and outperforming competitors. Additionally, Lukas worked as an Innovation Manager at Swisscom, implementing new approaches to foster external innovation.

Earlier in their career, Lukas co-founded and served as CEO for Nachsitzen24 GmbH and Brainpoint GmbH, both education-focused companies. Lukas successfully launched tutoring platforms and led business operations, incorporating digital business models and scalable event formats.

Lukas Peter, Ph.D. began their education at the University of St.Gallen in 2008, where they pursued a degree in Accounting & Finance. Lukas successfully completed their studies in 2011. Lukas then continued their academic journey at the same university, focusing on Business Innovation. From 2012 to 2019, they worked towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in this field.
