Gilli Shama

Gilli Shama's work experience includes roles in various companies and institutions. In 2010, they started working at Amdocs as a Data Scientist and eventually became a Data Science Manager, responsible for leading and executing data science solutions for testing. During their time at Amdocs, they also served as the Director of Performance Management and won an external innovation award in quality. In 2016, they joined Tel Aviv University as a Lecturer, teaching graduate courses on data science. Gilli then moved to Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2017 as a Senior Lecturer. In the same year, they also started working at IDC Herzliya as a Private university MBA lecturer. In 2017, they became Chief Data Scientist (Director) at Amdocs, leading the AI Center of Excellence and bringing data science capabilities to Amdocs products and services. Gilli later took on the role of Director of Data Science, managing AI projects and receiving awards for their work. In 2021, they joined Fundbox as a Senior Data Science Lead. In 2022, they became Head of Data Science at Localize and a Lecturer at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo. Gilli Shama holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Additionally, they completed a Post-doc in Physics at the University of Maryland. Gilli also obtained a D.Sc. in Technology and Science Education from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
