Kate Van Riper

Kate Van Riper is Sr. Director, Human Resources. She leads the process of ensuring Locana has the best talent and environment to achieve its mission of being the leading RNA-targeting gene therapy company. Kate has significant experience as an HR leader in entrepreneurial companies in the biotech and pharmaceutical arena including Ceregene, Inc., which focused on gene therapy for CNS diseases. While at Ceregene, she implemented several progressive HR programs, particularly in employee compensation and benefits. Kate holds a degree in Organizational Psychology from San Diego State University.
