Lyndsey Johnson

Scientific Programme Manager at LocateBio

Lyndsey Johnson has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific and research field. From 2017 to present, they have been a Scientific Programme Manager, Project Manager, and Project Scientist at Locate Bio Ltd. In this role, they have managed the IntraStem platform, a next generation cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) technology, and the TAOS matrix system, a patented polymer technology with multiple medical applications. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and PhD Student at the University of Leicester, where they studied the physiological role of histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) and its regulation by inositol phosphates. In 2013, they also completed a Research Placement at the University of Birmingham, where they used therapeutic histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors in Kasumi-1 cell line. Finally, in 2013, they completed a Professional Internship Project with GENIE (Genetics Education Networking for Innovation & Excellence), a public outreach programme that aims to raise public awareness of genetics in science and society.

Lyndsey Johnson attended Nottingham Girls' High School from 2001 to 2009, where they obtained their GCSEs and A-Levels. Lyndsey then went on to the University of Leicester, where they completed a Medical Biochemistry BSc (Hons) from 2009 to 2012, and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2012 to 2016.
