Todd Gibby

Todd Gibby has over 20 years of experience in the software and technology industry. In 1999, they began their career at Blackboard, where they held a variety of roles, including Executive Vice President of Operations, Senior Vice President of Sales, and Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Academic Suite. During their time at Blackboard, Todd was responsible for leading a global salesforce and growing sales by 93%. In 2007, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Intelliworks, a venture-backed startup providing SaaS CRM to the higher education market. During their tenure, Intelliworks experienced more than 500% revenue growth, consistently delivered 85% recurring subscription revenue, and achieved cash-flow profitability. In 2011, Todd joined Hobsons as President of Higher Education, where they were responsible for P&L, software/services solutions strategy, and go-to-market positioning. During their time there, the company saw more than 50% revenue growth. In 2014, Todd became the Chief Executive Officer of BoardEffect, a private-equity-owned SaaS provider of board management software. During this time, BoardEffect doubled its customer base, nearly tripled revenue, successfully re-platformed its solution, and maintained profitability throughout. In 2017, Todd was hired as Interim CEO and Executive Chair of SiteHawk, a SaaS chemical data management solution company. Working with the leadership team and board of directors, they led a strategic refresh, mentored the eventual permanent CEO, and prepared the business for a new phase of accelerated growth. The business was later acquired by Sphera, a portfolio company of Genstar Capital. In 2018, Todd founded Lock 8 Partners, which invests in small SaaS businesses with great products and loyal customers and helps them scale to the next level of their potential.

Todd Gibby completed their undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, earning a B.A. Todd then went on to earn an MBA from The Wharton School, with a concentration in Operations and Information Management, as well as Multinational Management.
