Cathy Tie

Cathy Tie has a diverse work experience. Cathy is currently the CEO and Founder of Locke Bio, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Partner at Cervin Ventures from February 2018 to August 2019. From November 2014 to January 2018, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Ranomics. Cathy also served as a Thiel Fellow at The Thiel Foundation from 2015 to 2017. Cathy has a background in research, having worked as a Researcher at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto in 2014 and at the University of Toronto from October 2012 to May 2013.

In 2019, they obtained a Master's Certificate in Executive Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University.

From 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College.

In 2013, they participated in a summer undergraduate program in Physics at Harvard University.

Lastly, in 2012, they studied Experimental Psychology and Modern Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania.
