Bob Behnken

Bob Behnken, PhD, currently serves as the Vice President for Exploration, Product, and Technology Strategy at Lockheed Martin. They previously held roles including Director of Technology Acceleration and Vice President for Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities. With a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, Bob retired as a Colonel after years of service that included positions such as Flight Test Engineer and Test Pilot. Bob also contributed significantly at NASA, where they served as Acting Deputy Director of the Flight Operations Directorate and as a NASA Astronaut, participating in multiple space missions and performing several spacewalks. Bob earned a PhD and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech and holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Washington University in St. Louis.
