Ian Dunbar-Hall

Ian Dunbar-Hall possesses extensive experience in engineering and software development, primarily in leadership roles within Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities included establishing the Open Source Program Office and serving as the Software Factory Chief Engineer. Ian developed a navigation software package known for its hardware implementation agnostic design, written in C with comprehensive unit testing and documentation. As a Governing Board General Member at OpenSSF since January 2024, Ian continues to contribute to the software community. Ian's academic background includes a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Control Systems from UCLA, supplemented by significant undergraduate research experience.
