Julie Pecson

Julie Pecson is an accomplished engineering and program management professional with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Program Management at Lockheed Martin since September 2018, Julie Pecson focuses on shaping Missile Defense pursuits. Previously, as Program Management Director at Planet Labs, Julie Pecson oversaw the execution of complex hardware and software products that provided daily images of the Earth, while also leading a program management team to enhance engineering productivity through Agile principles. Julie Pecson's earlier tenure at Lockheed Martin included several leadership roles, such as Program Management Director for the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS), where Julie Pecson managed over 300 engineers and a significant budget, achieving exemplary launch success and receiving the NOVA award. Julie Pecson holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University.
