Richard Bew

Richard (Otter) Bew is a retired Marine Colonel and pilot with extensive experience in national security and defense leadership. They have held various roles including Deputy at the Joint Staff and Legislative Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Richard was a Candidate for U.S. Congress in North Carolina's 3rd Congressional District and served as Chief of Staff at Lockheed Martin. They earned a Master’s degree in International Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Philosophy from Lehigh University. Outside of their professional life, Richard is a devoted family member, with a wife passionate about nutrition and rescue dogs, and children who serve in emergency and military roles.
