Francisca Viegas

Francisca Viegas has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Francisca currently works at Lockwood Publishing Ltd as an Associate Producer & Publishing Manager, responsible for overseeing the production and publication of content. Prior to this role, they worked as a Content Publishing Specialist at the same company.

Before joining Lockwood Publishing Ltd, Francisca worked as a Researcher at Universidade do Minho, specifically on the JUSTFUTURES project. Francisca conducted research in this role from July 2021 to January 2022.

Francisca also gained freelance experience as a Proofreader, Copy Editor, and Editorial Designer from January 2019 to May 2021. During this time, they worked independently, providing editorial services to various clients.

In 2018, Francisca worked at Revista Portuguesa de Educação - Portuguese Journal of Education. Francisca started as an Editorial Intern in January 2018 and then progressed to become an Editorial Assistant from July 2018 to January 2019.

Francisca'searliest work experience dates back to 2015 when they worked at Airbnb as a Customer Experience Manager. In this role, they managed customer interactions and ensured a positive experience for all users.

Francisca Viegas has a diverse educational background. Francisca obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the Universidade do Porto, with their studies ending in 2016. In the same year, they also received a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge. Later, they pursued higher education and completed a Master's degree in Publishing from the Universidade de Aveiro, which lasted from 2016 to 2021. During this period, they also undertook a specialization in Science Communication at the Universidade do Minho from 2019 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Francisca Viegas has acquired several certifications. In 2011, they obtained a certification in Língua Inglesa C1.2, Advanced 4, from the British Council. The following year, they attained a certification in Língua Inglesa C1, Advanced 5, also from the British Council. Furthermore, they have participated in various training programs and webinars focused on different areas. These include a webinar on Visual Medical Communications organized by ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) in January 2020. Francisca also attended a seminar on Barómetro Social - Ano de 2013 em Revista organized by the Institute of Sociology at the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto in February 2014.

In terms of language skills, Francisca Viegas has also acquired proficiency in Spanish. Francisca completed three levels of Spanish courses - Basic Spanish 1: Getting Started, Basic Spanish 2: One Step Further, and Basic Spanish 3: Getting there - offered by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in December 2020 and March 2021, respectively.
