Paul Dodkins

Paul Dodkins has a substantial work experience in various roles and positions. Paul started working in 2005 as an IT Development and Support specialist at Venners, where they acted as a single point of contact for IT support and developed line-of-business applications. Paul then became the IT Support Manager, responsible for all levels of technical support and the delivery of IT infrastructure to over 250 staff. Paul also hired and trained an IT Support Assistant during their tenure.

In 2014, Paul took on the role of IT Manager at Venners, where they continued to oversee the provision of IT infrastructure and took on the management of an in-house development team. Paul played a crucial role in championing and implementing Agile Scrum methods within the company, resulting in the successful completion of projects that had been previously stalled.

In 2018, Paul joined Cognitran as a Scrum Master, being the company's first in this position. Paul primarily focused on working with their largest clients, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Ford. Paul facilitated various events, such as Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Refinement, Retrospectives, and PI planning. Paul guided teams towards self-organization, which led to the distribution of the technical lead role throughout the entire team.

Currently, Paul holds the position of Senior Producer at Lockwood Publishing Ltd, starting in 2021. No specific end date is provided for this role.

Paul Dodkins completed their Higher National Diploma (HND) in Information Technology and Business at the University of Hertfordshire from 2003 to 2005.
