Matt "Petey" Peterson has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as Director of Business Development for Hey Cupcake! Matt "Petey" then moved on to Warren Miller Entertainment as Tour Manager in 2005, and then to High Line Sports and Entertainment as Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge On-Mountain Manager in 2006. In 2016, Peterson became Co-Founder and Chief Impact Officer of Locoal Charcoal Company, as well as Marketing and Business Development Manager for CLEAN Cause. In 2018, Peterson took on the role of Program Manager, Circular Economy for the United States Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Matt "Petey" Peterson's education history includes a Master's degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Technology Commercialization, a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business, and a High School diploma from St. Michaels Academy.
