Jason Spears has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Jason founded and served as the CEO of Locust Cider since 2014. Prior to that, they worked at Starbucks in the Store Development role from 2007 to 2015. Jason also worked as a Restaurant and Hospitality Consultant at Gala from 2006 to 2007. Before that, they founded and operated multiple concepts at BSB Restaurants, Inc and Acoustic Coffee from 2001 to 2006. Jason also promoted live concerts and was involved in supporting local musicians and venues through the Colorado Springs Music Coalition. Jason's early career includes a role as a Design and Manufacturing Engineer at Ingersoll Rand from 1996 to 2002, where they worked in product manufacturing, automation, and robotics design, as well as documentation and implementation of various programs.

Jason Spears attended the Colorado School of Mines from 1994 to 1999 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Afterward, they pursued studies in Industrial and Product Design at The Art Institutes. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) from USGBC New York.
