Burutay Yalçın has extensive work experience in product management and leadership roles. Burutay started their career at Garanti Bank as a Digital Channels Management Supervisor, where they were responsible for internet and mobile banking channel management. Burutay then joined Avea as a Mobile Finance Senior Product Manager, focusing on vertical market solutions.

After that, Yalçın moved to Turkcell as a Mobile Finance Senior Product Manager, where they were responsible for the strategic partnership management of mobile payment aggregator partners and implementation of carrier billing services.

Burutay then joined Yandex as a Product Manager, where they acted as a product manager for Yandex Market, a price comparison product. Burutay was also responsible for improving search engine result page (SERP) quality for e-commerce search queries.

Yalçın then worked at Sophisto Istanbul as the Head of Experience Design & Product Management. Burutay led online and offline service design projects for industry pioneer brands, including Hopi, BKM Express, Garanti BBVA Pension, and Karafırın. Burutay'sresponsibilities included service design, ethnographic user research, UX/UI design, and moderating design thinking workshops.

Burutay later joined Bilyoner.com as the Head of Product Management, leading a product management team and overseeing the company's online sports betting platform.

Yalçın then joined Borusan Lojistik as a Product Owner, where they were responsible for the eTA freight management platform.

Most recently, they joined ERKA GRUBU as the Head of Product Management, and they currently work at Lodgify as a Group Product Manager.

Burutay Yalçın started their education journey in 1993 at Burak Bora Anatolian High School, where they focused on English studies until 2000. Burutay then pursued their undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Yildiz Technical University from 2000 to 2005. Continuing their education, Burutay attended Bahcesehir University from 2006 to 2009, where they pursued a graduate degree in the Institute of Science, Engineering Management Programme. Later, in 2017, they enrolled in the Professional Education program at The Interaction Design Foundation, specializing in User Experience and Interaction Design. Additionally, Burutay obtained various certifications from institutions such as Interaction Design Foundation (IDF), IDEO U, Ethnogram, and UX Design Institute. These certifications include topics like Gestalt Psychology and Web Design, Human-Centered Service Design, Service Design Essentials, UX Foundation Training, and Design Thinking.
