Sanjay Chauhan

Sanjay Chauhan has extensive work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Sanjay is currently serving as the Deputy CFO for Lodha since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President and Head of Finance & Accounts for ADANI PORTS AND SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE LIMITED from April 2020 to July 2023.

Before joining ADANI, Sanjay worked at Essar from February 2008 to April 2020, where they held the role of Controller for Transaction advisory, Strategy, and Tax planning. Sanjay was responsible for handling accounting issues, providing transaction advisory services, and maintaining relationships with accounting firms in India, Mauritius, and the UK. During their time at Essar, they also worked on implementing IFRS and Ind AS and provided transaction advisory for various Essar business groups.

Prior to Essar, Sanjay worked at Deloitte from April 2004 to January 2008 as a Manager. Sanjay gained experience in accounting and reporting under Indian GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP. Sanjay was also nominated for secondments to the UK and Canada, where they worked with multinational corporations.

Sanjay Chauhan obtained a C.A. degree in Finance and Accounts from Barretto High School, where they attended from 1986 to 1997. Sanjay then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree at Kishinchand Chellaram College of Arts Commerce and Science from an unspecified start year until 2002. Afterward, they attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 2000 to 2003, where they received a Chartered Accountant degree.
