Cummins began their career in healthcare as a rehabilitation program manager. In this role, they were responsible for leading the clinical and financial management of the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, patient care customer service, and providing senior leadership for facility operations. Bill then transitioned to Aegis Therapies, where they served as a research consultant focused on rehab outcomes measure and big data healthcare analytics. In this role, they provided research guidance and co-authored a National Institute of Health funded research project for a long term study of patient outcomes utilizing the Rehabilitation Outcomes Measure (ROM).

Bill Cummins has a MS in Communicative Disorders from University of Redlands and a BA in Psychology from University of Redlands. Bill also has a Certification from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in Certificate of Clinical Competence.
