In their role at LifePoint Health®, they managed the operations of a 140-bed acute care Level IV trauma center, exceeding the budget by over $5 million in 2019. Vickie also served as an interim Chief Executive Officer at two different hospitals, overseeing the transition of leadership and addressing strategic plans.
Earlier in their career, Vickie Demers worked as the Chief Executive Officer at HealthSouth, where they led inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient clinics. Vickie achieved significant growth in patient volume and discharge numbers during their tenure. Vickie also held various leadership positions at Health Management Associates, Inc. and North Georgia Medical Center, demonstrating their expertise in hospital administration and managing organizational transitions.
Vickie Demers holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Bob Jones University. Vickie further pursued their education, earning a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from Georgia State University. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. Vickie is also certified as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) by The Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety, which they obtained in September 2020.
