Jay Franklin

Jay Franklin is a Senior Associate Archaeologist and Principal Investigator at Logan Simpson, based in Tucson, Arizona. They earned their PhD in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee in 2002 and have over 30 years of experience in archaeology and cultural resource management. Franklin's research interests encompass prehistoric hunter-gatherers, cave and rock art, and stone tools. They have held various academic roles, including Professor of Anthropology at East Tennessee State University, and have managed numerous archaeological projects across the United States and France. Franklin's work has been recognized at professional conferences and published in leading journals, with over $1 million awarded in grants and contracts prior to 2019.
