Nikima Stewart

Nikima Stewart has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nikima is currently working as a Principal at Logan Township School District since 2023 and previously held the position of Principal, PreK-K at the same institution. Before that, they were an Assistant Principal from 2022 to 2023. Prior to joining Logan Township School District, Nikima worked as a School Counselor at Ewing Township School District from 2018 to 2022 and at Abilene ISD from 2015 to 2018. Nikima also has experience as a Kindergarten Teacher at Abilene ISD from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Technology Teacher at St. John's Episcopal School from 2011 to 2012 and as a Development Coordinator/Intake Counselor at Regional Victim Crisis Center from 2008 to 2010. Nikima has also held roles in media, including as a News Producer at KTAB-TV from 2008 to 2008 and as a Web Producer at KTAB/KRBC-TV from 2007 to 2008. Furthermore, they worked as a Copywriter at Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company from 2007 to 2008 and as a Production Assistant at WWOR-TV My9 from 2006 to 2006.

Nikima Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Media Studies and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University in 2007. Nikima then obtained a Post-Bac Teacher Certification in Elementary Education from McMurry University in 2010. In 2012, they completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. Nikima further pursued a Post Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Angelo State University in 2018. Additionally, Nikima has obtained several certifications including Director of School Counseling Services, Elementary and Secondary School Counselor, Principal, School Counselor, School Counselor EC-12, Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3, and Teacher: Generalist EC-4, ESL, Gifted and Talented.
