Valerie Tovar serves as the Conservation Manager at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where responsibilities include developing and implementing community-based solutions to protect sea turtles from human threats. Prior to this role, Valerie held positions as Conservation Coordinator and Conservation Field Assistant, focusing on collaborative conservation efforts and overseeing national programs. Experience in education includes serving as an Interim Biology Teacher for the Palm Beach County School District and working as an Environmental Educator for Friends of Gumbo Limbo, where Valerie led programs to promote marine research and conservation. Additional roles include Environmental Camp Counselor and Animal Husbandry Volunteer, alongside a background in food service. Valerie holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Florida Atlantic University.
