Chief of Building Technology Services at Logical Buildings

Abhay Ambati has a diverse and extensive work experience. Abhay started their career as a Summer Intern at Idiom Design and Consulting in 2002, where they designed and drafted graphics standards and operations & maintenance manuals. Abhay then worked as a Senior Supervisor at Australia Pacific Projects in 2005, followed by an internship at Kanvinde, Rai & Chowdhary - Architects & Planners, where they gained experience in institutional architecture.

In 2006, Abhay joined Jones Lang LaSalle as an Assistant Project Manager in the Corporate Solutions department. Abhay then worked as a Research Assistant at New York University, where they researched and developed presentations on topics related to the 2008 financial crisis, Community Reinvestment Act, and Troubled Asset Relief Program.

From 2009 to 2011, Abhay worked as a Project Engineer at JCMS Inc, a Project Management & Consultancy firm. Abhay was responsible for managing project schedules, documentation, and cost estimates for multi-million dollar projects across the United States.

In 2011, Abhay had two roles simultaneously. Abhay served as a Member of the Environmental Commission at The City of New Brunswick, New Jersey, and as a Project Manager at Noveda Technologies. At Noveda Technologies, they designed and implemented real-time energy monitoring systems for buildings.

Abhay then moved on to Logical Buildings, where they held multiple positions. Abhay started as a Senior Project Manager in 2013 and was responsible for managing and implementing projects. Abhay was promoted to Vice President of Technology Services in 2015 and then to Senior Vice President in 2018. In these roles, Abhay played a key role in the vetting, integration, procurement, installation, commissioning, and data acquisition of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for energy management.

Abhay currently serves as the Chief of Building Technology Services at Logical Buildings. In this role, they assess commercial and industrial properties and develops comprehensive energy solutions to reduce operating costs and improve competitiveness in the real estate market. Abhay is involved in areas such as energy procurement, technology implementation, staff training, and energy consulting.

Throughout their career, Abhay Ambati has gained expertise in energy management, project management, research, and design. Abhay has worked in various industries and has demonstrated the ability to adapt and deliver results in diverse environments.

Abhay Ambati's education history begins with completing their AISSSE degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya in 1997. Later, they pursued a B.Arch degree in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, graduating in 2004. In 2006, Abhay obtained a Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. To further advance their knowledge, they pursued an MSRE degree in Real Estate from New York University, earning it in 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Abhay Ambati has also obtained several certifications. These include the names and institutions of the certifications, as well as the years and months in which they obtained them. Some of the certifications they hold are Certified Energy Auditor from the Association of Energy Engineers in June 2010, Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in November 2010, and Registered Architect from the Council of Architecture - India in October 2005.

Moreover, Abhay has obtained various technology-related certifications, such as Certified Wireless Technology Specialist from CWNP in August 2017 and Interfacing with the Arduino from Coursera in August 2018. Abhay is also a WELL AP certified by the Green Business Certification, Inc. in August 2019.

Finally, Abhay Ambati has recently obtained additional certifications, including API Development with Swagger and OpenAPI Course from Codecademy in May 2022 and Learn JavaScript Course from Codecademy in December 2021. Abhay is also set to obtain a Certified Wireless IoT Solutions Administrator certification from CWNP in January 2023.
