Chris Funston

Chris Funston has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Chris started their career at IBM Canada Ltd. as a Software Build Developer, where they gained exposure to all aspects of the software development process. Chris then moved on to RamSoft Inc. as a QA Manager, leading a team through successful major releases and implementing automated testing tools. At BlackBerry, Chris held various roles, including Senior Software Tools Developer and Platform Gatekeeper, where they contributed to security upgrades, build processes, and the integration of LTE into the BlackBerry radio protocol stack. Chris also worked at Demeure as a Senior Software Developer, implementing a continuous delivery approach to DevOps and managing consistent and reproducible deployments. Currently, Chris is employed at LogiSense Corporation as a DevOps Architect, utilizing their expertise in DevOps and architecture.

Chris Funston attended Western University from 1999 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Engineering. In January 2020, Chris obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon.
