Mahi Faiyaz has a diverse work experience in different organizations. They started their career as a Research Assistant at Farncombe in 2018, where they analyzed heart rate variability data and published research in Frontiers in Neuroscience. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, investigating the effects of PCSK9 in various systems and publishing research in The Journal of Biological Chemistry and Kidney360 - American Society of Nephrology. In 2020, they worked as an Optometric Assistant at Dundas Optometry Clinic, conducting preliminary testing for vision exams. They then joined McMaster University in 2021 as a Software Developer, contributing to the development of DESpot and porting the software from QT4 to QT5. Mahi Faiyaz pursued a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Biology and Pharmacology from McMaster University between the years 2015 and 2020. They then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Science from McMaster University starting in 2020, with an expected graduation year of 2023.
