Simon Rice

Simon Rice currently serves as the Director of AI Governance and Global Privacy Operations Lead at Logitech, beginning in November 2022. Previously, Simon held titles such as Data Protection Officer at dentsu international from August 2021 to October 2022, and at Merkle from August 2018 to August 2021. Simon’s career includes a role as Lead Security Domain Engineer at Lloyds Banking Group (August 2017 - July 2018) and extensive experience at the Information Commissioner's Office from February 2011 to July 2017, where Simon was Head of Technology Policy and a Principal Policy Adviser (Technology). Early in the career, Simon was a Database and Software Developer at the Health & Safety Laboratory from September 2005 to February 2011. Simon holds a PhD in Text Data Mining in Bioinformatics from The University of Manchester and has advanced degrees from the University of Glasgow and the University of Nottingham in Bioinformatics and Biology, respectively.
