Leonid Glazychev originally specialized in plasma physics and computer simulation graduated with honors (M. Sc.), and holds a Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics. He was lucky to join one of the first ever software localization projects, and that turned out to be a life-changer.
In 1993 Leonid co-founded Logrus, a professional software localization company (when even the concept itself was somewhat novel), and served as the company’s CEO since then. Over the last 28+ years, Logrus IT has grown from 3 employees to 160+, with multiple offices around the world, including China and Korea (added at the end of 2017).
True to his scientific background, Leonid is continuing research and publishing papers on numerous topics, including his favorite: Language Quality Evaluation Methodology and Process. Leonid has developed the Multidimensional Holistic Quality Approach that makes it possible to evaluate the quality, usability, informativeness, language quality, and a multitude of other factors for any content, both original and localized.
Leonid's goal is to bring some hard-core, fundamental, objective, and unbiased scientific approach and knowledge to the areas traditionally occupied by project managers and linguists. He is relentlessly challenging common knowledge, traditional ways, and widespread prejudice, and enjoys working with people and demonstrating creative thinking.
