Lars Wrist-Elkjær

Lars Wrist-Elkjaer is an experienced executive in the transportation and aviation sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at Lokaltog since June 2020, overseeing the operation of multiple railway lines in Sjælland and nearby regions. In addition, Lars holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Danske Privatbaners Forsikringsforening G/S, which manages insurance services for various railway operators. Previously, Lars led Aviator Denmark A/S as Managing Director, focusing on aviation services and customer satisfaction. With a solid engineering background, Lars has also held senior management positions at DSB Vedligehold A/S, DSB S-tog a/s, and Arriva skandinavien a/s, including roles in procurement and asset management. Lars's education includes executive training at prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and Copenhagen Business School, complemented by a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering.
