Obie Paul Byrum

Obie Paul Byrum has had an extensive and successful career in the field of global sourcing, operations, and supply chain management. Obie Paul is currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at Loloi Rugs since March 2021. Previously, they held various leadership roles at Mohawk Industries, including Vice President of Global Sourcing and Senior Director of Global Sourcing. At Mohawk, Obie led a global team and was responsible for sourcing and operations supporting a $550 million division. Prior to that, they worked at Springs Global US, Inc., where they gained expertise in operational planning, inventory management, and import supply chain management. Obie started their career at Milliken & Company, where they held management positions in planning and manufacturing. Their experience spans over three decades in the industry, making him a highly seasoned professional with a strong background in textile and flooring companies.

Obie Paul Byrum is currently a PhD Candidate at Kennesaw State University, specializing in Management. Obie Paul began their doctoral studies in 2020 and is expected to complete them in 2023. Prior to pursuing their PhD, Obie obtained an MBA in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Tennessee Technological University. Obie Paul attended this university from 1987 to 1988. Obie earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Western Kentucky University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Obie has obtained several certifications.
