Karin Rilley

Karin Rilley currently serves as the Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief of Staff at Bucknell University since December 2019. Previously, Rilley held the position of Vice President for Board and Legal Services and General Counsel at the University of Dallas from July 2014 to December 2019, providing oversight on various legal matters in the context of university operations. Rilley has also served as Associate General Counsel at the University of North Texas System, Executive Legal Counsel and Chief Operating Officer at Columbus Public Schools, and Partner at Britton Smith Peters and Kalail. Early career experience includes roles as Associate Attorney at Scariano, Himes and Petrarca, General Counsel for the Ohio Department of Education, and Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Rilley holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and two bachelor's degrees in Journalism from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
