Katie Manheim CPRP has extensive experience in recreation program management, special events, and customer care. With a background in resort and hospitality management, Katie has successfully overseen various programs for youth, teens, adults, and seniors in park districts and resorts. Katie's skills include developing and implementing activities, marketing, and coordinating volunteers for events.
Lombard Park District
Lombard Park District was founded in 1927 and currently serves a community of over 40,000 people. The mission of the Lombard Park District is to provide people with quality recreation opportunities to enjoy life. Our variety of parks, programs, and events are offered to people of all ages. The Lombard Park District is responsible for over 400 acres of land, 7 facilities, and 18 parks that include playgrounds, sport courts and fields, rental facilities and shelters, and miles of walking paths. The Lombard Park District oversees the award winning Paradise Bay Water Park and Western Acres Golf Course, two popular facilities within the community. Lombard Park District was the winner of the 2009 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. This award is presented by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
