Adi Cooper OBE is a highly experienced professional in adult social care and safeguarding, currently serving as the Chair of the Camden Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board and Deputy Chair of Social Work England. With a notable academic background including a Ph.D. in Political and Economic History from the University of Sussex, Adi holds several other qualifications in social work management and leadership. Previous roles include Chair of the Haringey and City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Boards, and Strategic Director for Adult Social Services, Housing and Health at the London Borough of Sutton, where significant transformations in service provision and housing for vulnerable populations were achieved. Adi has contributed to national policy development as the Adult Safeguarding Lead for the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, playing a key role in the implementation of the Care Act 2014.
