Rashida Baig Mbe

Rashida Baig MBE is a seasoned professional in social work and children's safeguarding, currently serving as the Director of Children’s Safeguarding and Family Help at the London Borough of Camden since April 2021. Previously, Rashida held key positions including Interim Director of Children’s Services at Croydon Council and Head of Social Work with Families, overseeing significant areas of statutory delivery and a budget of £35 million. At West Berkshire Council, Rashida was instrumental in transforming social work practices as Principal Social Worker and Acting Assistant Director, achieving notable improvements within two years. Other roles include Head of Delivery for Child and Family Social Work at Milton Keynes Council and Service Manager at Wokingham Borough Council. Rashida holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from the Open University.
