Nekka Hislop

Nekka Hislop is an experienced educator and childcare professional with a diverse background in teaching and support roles. Currently serving as an Elementary Occasional Teacher for Avon Maitland District School Board and Thames Valley District School Board since April 2022, Nekka provides supply teaching for grades Kindergarten to Grade 8. In addition, Nekka works as a Child Care Assistant at London Children's Connection, offering before and after school care for children in grades Kindergarten to Grade 5. Previous experience includes a role as Communications and Fundraising Assistant at Optimism Place Women's Shelter and Support Services, where Nekka developed a successful virtual fundraising event, along with work at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and other childcare and service positions. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education from Western University, alongside degrees in Management of Applied Science and Biomedical Sciences.
