Catherine Allum

Catherine Allum is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations and media management. Since January 2016, Catherine has served as the Deputy News Manager at the London Fire Brigade, where responsibilities include managing the press team and responding to breaking news in a high-pressure environment. Catherine has also worked as a freelance filmmaker with Allum Film Productions since 2005 and held positions such as Senior Media Officer at Samaritans, leading major campaigns to promote the charity. Other notable roles include PR and Video Production Freelancer for Combat Stress, PR Manager for Dementia UK, and PR/Communications Manager for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Catherine’s career began at the BBC, and education includes an Advanced Certificate in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a BA Hons in Broadcast Journalism from Nottingham Trent University.
