Dr Marta Hawkins

Dr. Marta Hawkins is an experienced leader in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), currently serving as the Participation and Stakeholder Engagement Lead and Strategic Inclusion Leader at the London Fire Brigade since February 2023. With a robust background in academic partnerships and EDI, Dr. Hawkins has previously held pivotal roles at the UK Health Security Agency and the Department of Health and Social Care, focusing on neurodiversity and academic networking. Dr. Hawkins also directed the Futures Entrepreneurship Centre at Plymouth University, promoting entrepreneurial initiatives, and has extensive teaching experience across various universities, including the University of Hertfordshire and the University of East London. Dr. Hawkins holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and degrees in English Language and Literature, enhancing expertise in both academic and practical applications of EDI principles.
