Kobby Sarpong

Kobby Sarpong, ACMA, CGMA has a strong background in finance and management. Kobby is currently working as the Associate Director of Finance - Financial Management & Procurement at London Metropolitan University since January 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Finance Business Partners at the same university from March 2018 to 2019, where they provided detailed financial analysis and management information to the university's senior leadership. Before joining London Metropolitan University, Kobby worked as a Finance Partner - Professional Services at Queen Mary University of London from December 2013 to February 2018, supporting the COO and non-academic directors in managing financial aspects. Kobby also worked as the Directorate Finance Manager - Estates and Facilities, and Finance Manager - CCRS at Queen Mary University of London from 2007 to 2013, where they provided financial support to various departments and implemented compliance with financial regulations. Earlier in their career, Kobby worked as a Management Accountant at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust for a short period in 2007. Kobby also served as a Business Analyst at BUPA Hospital Limited (BHL) from August 2006 to March 2007, where they managed project deliverables and trained teams on new software. Throughout their career, Kobby has demonstrated their expertise in financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

Kobby Sarpong achieved their ACMA, CGMA degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business/Management from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) between 2000 and 2005.
