Paul Middlebrook

Paul Middlebrook is an experienced professional with a strong background in train operations and training, currently serving as the On Train Skills and Competence Manager at London North Eastern Railway since May 2019. Paul has been involved in competence assessments for crews in the customer experience directorate, building on previous experience as a Service Delivery Manager in the same organization. Prior to this, Paul spent nearly eleven years at TransPennine Express as a Conductor Instructor, responsible for training and assessing train conductors. Earlier career experience includes owning a local taxi business and serving as a Weapons Technician in the Royal Air Force, where responsibilities included assembly, maintenance, and major repairs of aircraft weapon systems. Paul holds BTEC and City and Guilds qualifications in general and aeronautical engineering from RAF Cosford.
