Thai Truong

Thai Truong currently serves as Chief of Police at London Police Service, a position held since June 2023. Previously, Thai Truong spent over twenty-one years at York Regional Police, where roles included Superintendent, responsible for leading the #2 District in Richmond Hill and overseeing more than 200 personnel, as well as Superintendent of Corporate Development, focusing on recruiting and staff training. Thai Truong also held the position of Inspector for both #4 District in Vaughan and the Major Crimes Bureau, managing initiatives relating to homicide, missing persons, and special victims. Early career roles included Detective and Detective Sergeant within the Organized Crime Bureau. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Windsor and additional business education from Schulich School of Business and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
