Barbara Peacock

Barbara Peacock is an experienced professional in the fields of education, social justice, and child safeguarding. Currently serving as an Associate at the Local Government Association and a Visiting Fellow at London South Bank University, Barbara has also held multiple roles as an Independent Consultant and Associate with various organizations, including The Staff College and NHS England. With a background in children’s services improvement as Interim Strategic Director at Southend on Sea Borough Council and a focus on special educational needs and disability transformation at Surrey County Council, Barbara contributes to national initiatives through involvement with the Department for Education's National Child Safeguarding Practice Panel. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Sector Leadership from the University of Birmingham and certifications from institutions such as the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and Goldsmiths, University of London.
