Alex Polychronopoulos

Alex Polychronopoulos is a highly experienced security professional with a focus on application security and DevSecOps. Currently serving as Group Head of Application Security at London Stock Exchange Group since January 2019, Alex has overseen various aspects of security engineering, including penetration testing and vulnerability management. Prior roles include Head of Application Security at Barclays and Senior Software Security Consultant at Cigital, where responsibilities encompassed team leadership and comprehensive security engagements. Alex has also contributed to cybersecurity initiatives at the Hellenic National Defence General Staff and holds an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, along with a BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
