Claire Farmer

Claire Farmer is an experienced educator and practitioner in dance science, currently serving as the Interim Director of Programmes and Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University, where responsibilities include delivering courses on anatomy, safe dance practices, and functional movement for BA Dance students. In addition to roles at Middlesex University, Claire is an external marker for Central School of Ballet, a researcher for Akademi focusing on South Asian Dance in SEND schools, and a dissertation tutor at London Studio Centre. Claire operates as a freelance strength and conditioning coach, specializing in dancers and physical performers, while previously managing various educational and community projects within dance medicine and science. With a strong academic background, including an MSc in Dance Science and a Level 4 certification in Strength and Conditioning, Claire continues to contribute significantly to the field through teaching, research, and community engagement.
